Educator Curriculum Resources

Changing Worlds offers teachers a variety of curriculum resources to engage students in writing and art experiences that will help them explore their family heritage and learn about other cultures. Resources include activities, lessons and family stories to help improve students' reading, writing and art skills while also strengthening self-identity and an appreciation of other cultures.

Changing Worlds' Book of Family Stories & Activity Guide

Serving as companions to Changing Worlds' Oral History & Photography Exhibit, the book and activity guide are great tools to use when exploring different cultures and challenging stereotypes. Changing Worlds' book features photographs and oral histories from 11 families who share their stories of change, loss and cultural traditions. The activity guide incorporates these stories into language arts and social studies curricula, including lessons on cultures and immigration, and provides opportunities for students to explore their own families' histories.
