Short-Term and Multi-Session Programs

Short-term programs are single or multi-session workshops that nurture connections across cultures, races, religions and generations. Changing Worlds' unique approach integrates culture, family and community histories with the arts. Through programs that can be customized to meet the needs of the community or group, participants experience hands on art-making activities while affirming their identities, taking pride in their heritage and gaining an understanding of other cultures.

Examples of Program Components and Themes:

•   Storytelling to explore culture
•   Bookmaking to tell your story
•   Dance to demonstrate a journey or feelings
•   Poetry to discuss stereotyping and first impressions
•   Drama to depict the community's story
•   Map and timeline activity to make visible connections between your story, historical event           and peer experiences
