Teacher Professional Development Programs
At Changing Worlds, we see educators and teaching artists as change agents in their schools and communities, and we are committed to supporting them in their pursuit to improve the educational, artistic and social outcomes for their students. To that end, Changing Worlds provides numerous professional development opportunities that include one-time workshops, quarterly seminar series and week-long institutes. We also offer workshops for student teachers in partnership with teacher training programs and universities.
We believe that all students can learn and that culturally responsive teaching practices coupled with best practices in literacy and arts infused learning advances social, arts, and academic achievement for all students. If those we train experience firsthand as learners, they in turn will use the knowledge gained to increase student learning. We operate on the premise that all are life-long learners.
